Turned out we had a bad capacitor or diode (can't remember right now)in line to the monitor and it killed the monitor, the dealer probably wants to make sure the problem doesn't happen again. We had to bring our trailer back in to have them install the new monitor just to make sure the problem was fixed.
Having the monitor checked before I have to bring the trailer back is exactly what I was trying to make the dealer understand, If it is the monitor, then great, I will have saved a great deal of time, however, I dont have a problem returning to the dealer should it be something else,,also, is there anyone out there that has replaced their monitor with another model,,I have asked several places and nobody seems to be able to understand what I need,,,so I would greatly appreciate it if someone has been able to do this and could tell me what exactly they replaced with,,(brand and model) and where to get it at..by the way, my dealer is a fr dealer, and I know that they are very aware of the problem...thanks to all of you for you help, you have been very informative,,we have been camping for a few years, and never had any problems with our old trailer,,,things in it were very simple and easy....always seems to hold true,,the more technology they put in, the harder to replace,,,
