Who has seen this on the Today show? I was a little disappointed in their selections for the 10 most beautiful places in America. I don't have a list but I'm sure it's still on their website. And where was Alaska out of the top 10? Yellowstone was #3 and Grand Canyon was #1 and Hawaii was #6 I believe. I'm surprised that Grand Canyon was #1, I would pick Yellowstone over Grand Canyon IMO. What do you think?

You are correct - If I remember correctly they had NYC on the top ten list!

Such lists are basically meaningless. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And no list generated by a few people will ever be representative of the masses.

Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, or Capital Reef beat Yellowstone any day. IMHO Runners up in North America are Ice Fields Parkway, Jasper, Valdez, Denali Natl. Park, Denali Hwy.

I quit paying attention to it when they named the big league baseball fields as one of "ten most beautiful places." I love baseball as much as the next person, but I wouldn't elevate the ball fields past many of the places they left off.

Good grief, these people have to try and make themselves important some how. They ought to get out and actually see this country and talk to normal people (those outside the big city) and see what they think.
