We are so sorry for your loss. We had to put our Cocker, Missi to sleep last March, and we both talk about her a lot. We were not going to get another, but after awhile, we really missed having our little fur friend, and we now have Milli (named after Missi and Liberty). She is a Maltese, and a joy. Still, there is still an empty place in our hearts. Just like you, in 37 years we've had 3.

We are so sorry for your loss. We know how you feel.

Our pets sure make the days brighter, sorry your light has gone. Memories will keep him in your heart, and maybe, jsut maybe, somewhere down the road will be another 4legged friend. Take care, and know you did the right thing. Kathy

I am very sorry for your loss. When we form bonds with our dogs, many don't understand the profound sense of loss we experience when they are gone. In January I had to put my dog Copper down, I got him from the pound in 1994, I sure do miss him.

Sorry to hear of your loss. We had our retriever put to sleep a few months ago, he was 18 years old, hard of hearing, almost blind and could hardly walk. We miss him dearly. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

A good friend lost, my condolances, remember him well and his life will have had meaning. Is it not strange how they become so much a part of your family. My PJ is on about 11 now and I know a part of my will go with him when he passes.

My wife of 33 years and I just spent the last two hours watching home movies of our hunting trips in Colorado. We shared some precious moments remembering our beloved English Springer name Snoopy. That was 20 years ago. Along the way we enjoyed her father, my father, and some loving friends that have passed.

This rainy, (sunny California day), my best friend my wife went to the grocery store and when she returned she brought some comfort food. She felt the season as much as I.

The beans and hamhock cooked for three hours as we reminisced about the hunting trips and the wonderful Venison stew her dad and I made.

These sweet memories are fresh in our memories tonight. I hope you keep those precious memories close to your heart for many years.

Oh yeah, our loved Snoopy promptly rolled in something rotten after two days of travel to the camp spot. Lucky she lived many year after that !

I'm so sorry about your little dog. I know exactly the loss and emptiness your feeling right now. We had to put our little Carla to sleep last April and I'm still tearful thinking about her. Just remember you gave her a good home with lots of love and I can bet she had a very wonderful life.

We grieve with you, RA. We lost our 13 year old Maggie, Lab/Pointer/Viszla mix last April. She was getting deeper in renal failure, and we had promised her that when she hurt, and wasn't having any fun any more, we would not let her suffer. Our dear vet of many decades provided the skilled hands, and we provided the love. We know it was the right thing to do.

We had decided we wouldn't get another dog, as we are full-timers and there are many things you can do without the complications of a pet, that you can't do with one.

Our vet had told us that Maggie would send us another dog when we were ready. Three weeks later, she sent us little Kaia Grace; we rescued her from a shelter. We must have been ready - she is a joy to our hearts, and keeps us laughing with her antics. We don't feel disloyal to Maggie. She's still always with us, always on our minds. We spread some of her ashes every where she had traveled with us as we revisit those places. She loved to ride, and really enjoyed just being anywhere with us.

Don't close your mind and heart to sharing your life and love with another dog. There are multitudes of dogs out there that really need your help.

Sluggo

I also grieve with you over the loss of your "little one". These pets come into our lives and provide us with so much joy and happiness that it is always so difficult to let go of them. We always say to ourselves..No More, never again, then a couple of months go by, our hearts are empty and we end up with one, two or three more furbabies saved from the pound or other rescue organizarion. I dont know you from "Jack" yet I shed tears over your loss because its so easy to feel your pain and sadness. God Bless you for providing such a loving Home.
