Just got back to Oleander Acres(Mission,TX)from Pepe's. Jealous Heart Band was OUTSTANDING, and the tile dance floor is wonderful, as was the food. We won't miss a Friday afternoon. Richard

That's what I count now, but that's also why I posted for any going to let someone know. I figured that several more would want to get together for a RV.Net gathering. LOL. See you tomorrow.

This morning someone mentioned the Diaz Diner in a conversation with us, they just mentioned it was across the street from the Post Office in Mission. This evening we just happened by that corner and saw the sign on the side of the building, "Diaz Diner". We decided to stop and try it out and are very happy that we did. The food was reasonable and excellent, the place was full of winter Texans when we walked in. It is on 9th Street (Business 83) at Francisco, about 1 block north of the "Ice House" that was mentioned last week.

We just found(with the help of friends that live here)another good place to eat. It's Costa Mesa in McAllen. It's on 11th St. about 1 block north of Pecan(Texas 495). Mostly Tex-Mex fare, but everything we had was great. Prices very reasonable as well.
Our friends said this is where all the detectives eat.....so it should be VERY safe!
BTW, we may be able to make it to Pepe's as well. So count us as a "maybe". We'd already talked to DonP and Mary about going there this week anyway.

Sorry we missed the Pepe's today, didn't get on line yesterday to hear about it. Hope to make it next time. It was posted about "Music Valley" can anyone give us some idea where that is? We are in Mission, at Sleepy Valley.

There were 4 couples. Don and Mary, Terry and Dale, Bob and Betsy, and Ed and Becky. You all missed some great conversation. Band going the whole time. . . not bad music, but we sat back so we could talk and hear each other. It was great to get together. We talked about Alaska and where everyone is parked, etc. Great, great time.
Alice and Roger. . . you are right at our front door. We are in Restful Valley Ranch, just to your west. Come across the bridge into REstful, turn left onto Birch STreet (second left), and come down to lot 324. We have a 40 Phaeton. Can't miss it. We are going to Mexico today, leaving at 7:30, but will be back last this afternoon. Stop by and chat.
