I think pawatt is just running up his post count!

BTW It's raining in Melbourne!

No more Florida during the "bag yourself a snowbird's billfold" season!

It's the RGV and AZ for us after this!

Terry it is raining in the RGV as well. Temps are rather cool as well.
Butttttt not as cold as Indiana so no complaints here. And there is more to do here than home. We are doing square dance lessons today. No rhythm and two left feet----should be interesting.
Stay dry

Hey Terry, every time I make a similar comment, "Florida during the "bag yourself a snowbird's billfold" season", I get hollered at by the snowbirds from the east that don't know what it's like to go to a winter destination, feel wanted and return home with a little money left in their wallet. Some of those people don't want to believe anything bad about their beloved snowbird home, even when many others post the same thing in various forms. I will say that a Winter Texan couple would save a min of $2500/yr over what a Florida snow bird is paying in Florida for equal parks and lifestyle.

Terry it will be good to have you both back next year.

Texan...Shhhhhhhhhhhhh...... too many people is what made Florida so expensive. So.... keep in mind the RGV is not nearly as "pretty" as Florida.

In a couple of years we will have to go to Florida because all of the people there now will be here then. Ya know what I mean?

Wherever you are have fun!

Orlando @ the SE Freightliner Chassis Owner's Club Rally.

Rained big time at 4-6 AM today, probably over an inch quick.

The original Willies Bar-B-Q
320 S Alamo Road
Alamo Texas

From Expressway 83 take the Alamo Rd. exit South past business 83
It is an old run down looking place on the left hand side of the road a few blocks past business 83 in a residential area.

This is the best old fashioned Tex/Mex Bar-B-Q in south Texas.

A few top pics
Sm BBQ Plate 6.75 = 1 meat & choice of 3 sides.
Chopped Pork BBQ Sandwich $3.99
Stuffed Baked Potato Loaded. $5.25 Huge, big enough for 2 to share.
Sliced Beef Brisket Sandwich $3.99
Pinto Beans YUO MUST TRY THESE, they are exceptional.

They have a very large menu that also includes fish, shrimp, chicken and much with many available sides & desserts.

The hottest show in the valley is now The Skahl Family, from Nashville. They're at Park Place in Harlingen on wednesday, jan 30, and will make a special free appearance at the Victoria Palms RV.NET rally on Feb 5.
Hottest meal ticket now is the Encore Sunshine Friday Fish Fry and happy hour.
In its first season, they're up to almost 500 fish dinners. Everyone agrees that it's the best fish dinner they've eaten. Tickets are a hot item though, you have to buy in advance, with only a handful available at the door. They're trying to keep it under 500 so everyone gets quick service, they use two lines and serve everyone in about 35 or 40 minutes. People come early for a beer and dancing, what a party!
