PLEASE BE AWARE
There have been some changes at Pepe's on the River. The entertainment schedule I posted a in Dec. is outdated & there have been many changes. Elvis, Rob Carter & Double Decker no longer perform there. If the intertainment matters call ahead & find out who will be entertaining. The weekday entertainment is not as good in my opinion as it was last year. The menu prices have also gone up but the food we have had has been good.

We went to South Padre yesterday. Got sand blown in our teeth on the beach LOL. The line at Dirty Als was long so we went north from the bridge and found Daddy's Seafood and Cajun Grill. Shorter line and the fish and shrimp were great. By the way we had a great time at the RV Net get together on Monday. It was great to put faces to a lot of the names on the forum.

When we were there, couples were coming in so don't think it is all reservation. The bandstand and dance floor is outside, and they have tables and big leather couches out on the patio to set and eat or listen to the music. I know they are closed on Monday's but don't know the hours they are open.

We (10 in our group) went to S.Padre Island today and had lunch at Daddy's.
Everyone was pleased with their meals - servings were generous, quality good and prices reasonable. This was our first time eating there but it came highly recommended.

Last year, we had an excellent meat at the Padre Island Brewing Company. One of the best fish dinners we've had anywhere. That's where we'll go if Dirty Al's is packed(more than normal). We've ALWAYS had to wait there.

We ate at the Padre Island Brewing Co. last weekend. It was delicious and we plan to go back. There are 2fer coupons in the Monitor newspaper. The coupons expire the end of the month.

Baby back ribs 2 for 19.99
Beer battered fish dinner 2 for 13.79

We had the fish and it was great.

THANKS for the info.
They really need to get more 50' & 60's entertainment in the Valley.
My wife loves it & so do most of the Canadians in our park.
They can really BOGIE!!!
A good band or 2 of that venue could make some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Maybe the Beach Boys should consider playing in the RGV?
