I don't know why people that skimp on Kipors would use high dollar parts from Honda? Kipor parts are cheaper than the Honda's...

I spent roughly $1800 on the EU2000's. $100+ on the aux tank. And about $60 on my parallel cables. So, it was very easy to justify another $28 for a pair of gas caps dedicated solely to the aux tank.

Yeah the gas caps are not terribly expensive but I like to save money where I can.

Gens were 1789, brass fittings were 2.28, Atwood boat tank was 14, gas tubing was already laying around, Shut off valve was 4 (not necessary but convienent), and the Kipor caps were 16 bucks for the 2 I have. Also had JB Weld laying around too. So I have $36.28 in my extended run tank. Give or take a few dollars for the JB Weld and Gas tubing I have had for a while. Way cheaper than the 129 they want for them.

My Parallel kit was about 50 to make, with the Honda parallel cable being the most cost.

The roll around box I made for them I have less than 10 bucks in, with the paint being the most expensive part. My Neighbors brother works for a QT and gave him a bunch of wood, plywood, and casters from pallets they use to shipp remodeling fixtures in. Glue and Brads I already had.

I had originally planned on using an external boat gas tank but I really liked the way the aux tank Wise sells has the intake tube molded into the front of the tank. I had to have it. Was it worth the extra $80-$90? Probably not. But, I like it... Just goes to show we each have our own priorities.

Absolutely no problems with the tank; as long as I don't forget to open the vent on the fill cap. I'm very glad I bought two extra Honda caps (any brand that fits will do, though) and permanently mounted them to the tank's fuel lines to the gens. Otherwise I'd have to assemble/disassemble the original caps each time I want to use the tank.

I totally agree with that. Life is much easier with the extra caps.
