Just wanted to mention the great service I got from Adventure RV in Irvine, CA. I needed to order some shelf brackets for my motorhome and they were drop shipped from Bigfoot in less than a week.

I couldn't be more pleased with my Bigfoot. I haven't had many visitors who aren't in awe of the quality craftsmanship that goes into these units. Eight years old, and it still looks brand new.

I just returned from a 2500 mile round trip up to Northern Washington including 30+ miles of rutted and washed out dirt roads in order to get some National Park passport stamps. The motorhome is a dream to own and considering the fact that there won't be many trips that don't include dirt roads and exploration, it's the perfect fit for me.

From reading the posts from spncarl the only observation that any member can make is that eight years ago someone at Bigfoot actually gave a damn about the product and the people who put down alot of cash to get one.

Same 'Bigfoot'?

I love to hear about a responsive dealer and manufaturer. Although, that's the way a customer should be treated.

Your sentiments are representative of what I've heard to be the norm. However, a recent thread with photos in which you also posted, indicates BF and/or their dealer is falling well short of expectations on a NEW camper. Let's hope that both will step up and continue to inspire the "awe" in quality craftmanship in ALL their units, as well as customer service.

Doing your homework, defining your needs, saves you money. There's no perfect RV. Subsequently, some folks spend a lot of money going through several to find one that actually fits. So, apparently, ya done good! Travel safe.

Glad the OP is happy, but I'm finding my '03 Bigfoot 29SL (purchased used 18 months ago, with 7500 miles) to be rather disappointing. I've had to replace the slideout motor and cog wheels ($2000), reseal the roof cap seams ($700), and the latest-- the kitchen sink came loose from the countertop! They wanted $800 to fix it "right" (which would require removing the countertop, which they wouldn't guarantee not to break). I opted for a cheaper fix ($150) from underneath, which may or may not hold up.

I've had a spate of smaller problems, too, directly related to quality control or design-- such as the hose from the sink disconnecting from the gray water inlet, the hose from the fresh water fill disconnecting from the tank, and the Kwikee electric step refusing to retract (bad circuit breaker, which is mounted in an area exposed to the elements). All this in the first 10,000 miles since I purchased the rig.

This is our 4th RV, the others being Class A's from Winnebago and Country Coach, and a Class B from Roadtrek. The Roadtrek was the most trouble-free of the bunch, with the Winnebago close behind. The premium prices I paid for the Country Coach and Bigfoot certainly didn't result in any fewer trips to the shop for either one of them!

I'll have to take a look at newer Bigfoot Class C's at a show sometime to see if they've tweeked a couple of things.

I passed up on a private party used 2002 24" BF in late 2005 because of a couple of things:

- Not enough headroom in the main coach and especially the shower (I'm over 6'2")

- Too big of a step up between the cab floor and coach floor.

Otherwise, I love their freshwater capacity in a 24' rig and I love their great wall insulation for both summer and winter camping.

My brother has a BF 29G. It's a sweet machine. Gotta love that big storage cavity in back.
