Well, the nasty weather is upon us. T-showers, high winds, hail and lightning all make for an entertaining afternoon. 60 mph winds were making their way NE from Norfolk and are here now. I chose to keep my awning out. Bold move given the scenario right now. The awning tie-downs do help but the awning still resembles a flying carpet. I believe the de-flappers will go on once it calms down a bit.
Our friends in Southern MD should be getting a taste of this by now.

We haven't gotten anything YET.....doesn't even look like anything coming as of now.....
Today is Olivia's 4th birthday, so I hope the T-storms aren't too too bad, thinking of taking her to Chuck E Cheese tonight....

Tracey is a little north, but us here in the south got the rain pretty good for about an hour. Now stopped and dried up.

He's doing well! Thank you for asking! He came home Friday. We got up there last Saturday. He looked very pale. When we left yesterday, he was getting his tan color back. We're actually heading back up there tomorrow thru the weekend. They have a great garden up there! I'll be up there picking veggies! Love the lettuce they have in their garden!

Traded in the ROO for Noah's Ark last night.
Boy, it was heavy rain, lightning and thunder (rocking the ground) and high winds until 0600. As much as I like the pitter patter of rain on the canvas this was not that soothing.
I felt bad for the folks in tents. Couple years back a large group of Girl Scouts were here during a week of 95+ degree temps. It was miserable. They were not quite prepared for that and several girls went to the hospital. They broke camp after that.
The sun is popping out as I speak.

We got hit pretty hard around 8:30-9pm last night...a tremendous amount of thunder/lightening and HEAVY rain. The local ER (Baltimore Washington Medical Center) which is only a couple miles from our house had flooding in the ER. They had to call in emergency help and close for what they called a "mini-disaster". YIKES....glad I didn't get sick (not that I'd want to go to that hospital anyhow.)
Glad everyone is ok and fabulous news about Eric's dad!
