Unless someone tells me we need something different I plan to bring pasta salad and then potato salad as well – just normal and plain no tropical fancyness here.

Yum, yum; y'all are making me hungry! I'm gonna TRY to make HAUPIA (it's a coconut pudding desert) that my ex-MIL used to make! Other than that, it'll be Chicken something. . . .or meatball something. . .
OK, enough food talk. . .I'm running to the snack machine! YIKES

Eric tried the McD's version of Haupia in Oahu. He really liked it. I'm sure the homemade version is a bit different, right?

Not sure, I've never had the McD's version. My ex-MIL made this a couple times when we had dinner over their house and once when we went back to Hawaii! It is good! I also like their Lomi Lomi Salmon!

By the way, instead of going to the snack machine, one of my P3 pilots just got back from Hawaii and guess what he brought me! Yup, Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts! Oh, I'm in Heaven now!!!!
Ooops, gotta run. . .gotta attend a Navy training class! yuk!

Anyone heading to OC and vicinity over the Bay Bridge this weekend might want to plan for some long backups

Bay Bridge closure

I would respond, 'what else is new?' but obviously this a more critical situation.

I think traffic conditions have improved over the years and for the most part even extremely heavy traffic eventually gets moving. This last incident was unfortunate and could only be prevented by the actions/reactions of the drivers.

Reducing the speed will only be as good as those who follow that. Barriers to prevent a tractor trailer from going over the side at 55mph will never happen.d

As for moi, no treks on Route 50 until next August! Phew!

Even though I live in Annapolis, I have no plans in the near future to go over that bridge. Just remember, it backs up in Annapolis also trying to get to the Severn River bridge during rush hour.
