Sharon & I are going to start packing up this weekend. Got goodie bags to make & food to buy & grill to fix.
Oh not to forget Lucy is having a sleep over on Sat with bunch of 9,10& 11 year olds....Now what did I do with the ear plugs.

Ok. Now that we're to the last week before the rally let's go over the itinerary so us ADHD folks can get our acts together.
Besides, it's faster to ask than to go looking through some 250+ pages of posts. LOL
I know Saturday is the pot luck dinner party.

Jay, I was thinking that most people will arrive by Friday eve we could do a welcome campfire at the party site for anyone interested. On Saturday anyone interested can vote for the best decorated site, Sat afternoon the kids can paint pumpkins again (thanks again to htowners) and Sat eve- party time/pot luck Hawaiian Style topped off with the door prize game. Any other ideas?

Let the games begin... We left Dover yesterday unscathed and made it to Charleston SC to pick up our cargo. That was the LAST thing that went right. We tried to do an aerial refueling off the East coast and we had problems with our receptacle, so we had to divert to Gander Newfoundland for fuel.
Getting the gas was a pain, and when we went to take off, one of the engines wouldn't make takeoff power. We milked it into the air and brought it across the pond to Spain. Along the way, we had a bleed air duct overheat, and since we're supposed to aerial refuel (A/R) on the next leg into Afghanistan, we NEED it all fixed. A/R system, engine, and bleed duct.
Maintenance is currently expecting it to take a couple of days, so I'm slowly watching the prospects for Elk Neck turning into a panicked packing and rush out the door if I even make it home in time to go.
I'll do my best to keep you posted, and of course, I'll do my best to make it there, even if only for one or two nights.
