While you are thinking of ways to decorate your site, dont forget your Hawaiian shirts for Saturday's dinner. I am hoping I can talk Frank into Sweet & Sour Chicken for that night's pot luck...one of my favorites.
More good news arrived today, yes another super sponsor sent a large box with quite a number of cool items! I will have to add their name to our sponsor book tonight. I am going to private message any of you who did not respond to the rally book with the needed info. I would really like to have this book complete by next week before I return to work. For all the people who already sent them, thanks. I smile each time I read your info/memories/or remarks!!

What? No coconut shrimp from the shrimpmeister?  Steph wanted me to make Pineapple upside down cake, I told her "that's not Hawaiian!" We need a Kalua pig (w/o digging into the ground - because, the park rangers would get very very mad if we went off the parking pad)! Then she said "How about just some Kalua?" Crazy girl!

I don't think we "have" to make Hawaiian dishes for the potluck. I think it's bring "whatever," we all make great food! I'm just going to try my hand at a Hawaiian dessert dish (try being the key word here); we'll see! It'll be fun!

I'll keep it in mind... One of the good things about being military is that we can sometimes get those at the local commissary.
Speaking of military... Uncle Sam called and I'm leaving at 0-dark-thirty for a quick Afghanistan run. IF everything goes according to schedule (which it rarely does), we're due home next Wednesday night.
