I didn't care for the KOA in Millersville. The sites are small, unlevel, hard to manuever and you could hear the traffic from a major road (Rt. 32). We only stayed there one night on our way back from the NY HTT rally just so we could clean the tanks.

We drove through and hated it. They seriously overcharge for the quality of the sites. I just wish there was something decent within a half hour of Bowie. DH works in Bowie and if there was something that close, we could do work weekends too.

Definitely overcharging. We've been to 2 KOA's so far this summer and none have made me want to go back. We are going to one this weekend in Harper's Ferry, WV leaving Thursday. Let's see what this place looks like.

Do you know which site you have at the Harper's Ferry KOA? I've got my site map that I marked with good sites. I love the Harper's Ferry area and the KOA is the best bet we've found there, but many of the sites are close together.

I have no idea which site. I did it online. We don't plan on spending much time at the KOA but I hope we get a decent site. I requested pull thru.

Most of their sites are pull through. Just be ready for a tight fit. The bathrooms were always clean and I'm a big fan of the KOA's pancake breakfast. Walmart, Food Lion, Long John Silver and a few restaurants are just a bit away. Just go out to the main road you came in on and turn left. You'll find whatever you need. Go out to the main light and go straight and it takes you right into Harpers Ferry. We took the family tubing last time we went and it was so relaxing on the flat water!

How about a midnight snipe hunt?

Flashlight lollipop hunt for the little ones?

Flashlight beer can hunt for the big kids? hehehe

I wouldn't mind an egg toss, egg rolling contest, three-legged race, or ultimate frisbee game if we can get the gimps on their feet by then. LOL

Sharon, did you send pictures of the prize winners to the donors? I'm sure it'll go a long way when you hit them up next year. I already wrote to the Rally-Ho people and thanked them for their donation.

Maybe next year we can caravan to Shady Maple for either a breakfast or dinner?? Just a thought...

Cheers!

LOL We were talking to Cyd about a snipe hunt at the next Gettysburg rally on the way home yesterday.
We'd be up for the egg toss or roll. Frisbees are fun. How's about a pie eating contest? Messy fun.

I love the idea of the flashlight beer, but for those who don't drink beer, can we hide some wine..YUM YUM YUM!

I love the game ideas! I will never forget playing flashlight tag as a teen! If the guy was cute, getting caught could be fun!
