Being a fulltimer, I had the thought of adding an additional freezer (5.0 cubic feet) in the closet where you would normally have the washer/dryer. The space is preped for the w/d so there is 120 volt power. Has anyone done this or see any problems with this configuration.

We have an extra fridge/freezer in our basement and it works very well. When we are in transit, the food does not even give a hint of melting after travelling a full day. The only drawback I could foresee in your set up is that the noise of the compressor cycling might be annoying or keep you awake depending on your layout.

My Nephew has had a extra deep freeze in his closet in his fifth-wheel now for several years he goes to Alaska ever summer and fills it up with Salmon and halibut, cans some and smokes the rest, he has been doing that for some time now, he has a generator that he uses at night to freeze the fish back up, and top off the freezers,

We've had a freezer in ours for almost five years now and NO problems. When it is full it stays frozen for at least 2 days on the road. We don't check it we just try and make sure we have electrcity after 2 days.
Our is in the washer/dryer room and we do not hear the compressor run. In very hot weather we do open the louvered doors for better circulation during the day.
The secret, keep it full or almost full.

We have a 5 cf freezer in the basment of our 5er. It runs off 120v or the solar powerede inverter. No problems, other then it heat up the basement a little, not a bad thing when the temp outside is below zero.

I too would love to know where you found a freezer this small. I live in my 5er full-time and have given great consideration to having a smaller freezer so I can take advantage of the frozen food specials that I see all the time. (sigh)

I have a WAECO CF40 refrig/freezer which really works great. Back seat of the truck plugged into cigarette lighter or in the RV plugged into 110.
