How's it going Iam new to this form and Iam looking forward to learning new things about the RV world I have a 2007 trail cruiser SB23 with a rear slide my Question is I have had mice get in to the sealed underbelly of my trailer and I do not know if they are still there or not I could smell the urine from opening in the floor inside the unit since then I have sealed every last hole I also threw some moth balls in a hole in the frame and left that hole open for them to escape overnight but have since closed that hole too I sealed every hole or gap posible from the inside of the unit I have a enfant and an 7 year old and Iam so concerned about posible health risks
Mice also got into my storge compartment and destored so many things I found there enterance spot and sealed that too what can I do to keep these criters out of my trailer and will the smell of urine in my under belly go away

Thanks Angelo

Try sticking dryer sheets in every hole you think they can get through and put one in every drawer and cubby hole you can find.

Also, while the rig is setting up, not being used, you can put some moth balls and mice bait in the under belly in different areas to kill them out or run them off.

A full time cat would not hurt either!

Take some peppermint oil and use it everywhere you think they might be getting in. I'll bet you they don't come back.

I have used expandable foam to fill all holes or cracks bigger then a pencil, believe it or not a mouse can get through a hole the size of a pencil!!! Also place mouse bait in places out of sight and reach of kids and pets, Also keep all drain plugs in the sinks and tub. Mice sometimes craw down the vent pipes and up the drains.

Good Luck!!!

Mice use dryer sheets to make nests!

Don't limit yourself to one form of control. Wage war on the little buggers. They can be controlled, and any odor will eventually go away.

I use traps with some mighty stinky provolone cheese.. Make sure to use the traps in pairs (meaning side by side). They will leave one trap if they don't set it off and eat the cheese from the other..

SNAP..

Works for me.. You must be diligent about it.. This way you can clean up your dead.

Thanks for the great advice but my under belly is compleatly sealed and I can not open it up the mice got in through 1/2" holes in the front of my frame that I have sonce sealed up should I leave this hole open so they could escape or will this just alow more to come in I have put about 10 moth balls into this hole Iam afraid that If I seal them in they may chew on the wires or tanks
Maybe I should just smoke them out any sugestion and will the moth ball smell come out in the sping

Thanks

P.S are dryer sheet a good Idea or not I have about six sheets in there now

My service rep at the local Jayco dealer told me to use Cayenne Pepper. Just sprinkle a barrier around the trailer and refill any areas when needed. He says they won't cross the line of pepper. I bought the large bag of cayenne at Smart N Final (4$). Worth a try!
