I just went through the back camp site by my house and of the 12 5th wheels I saw 6 had either a bipod or tripod on them. One had a 4X4 log but it still was braced. I'll pick mine up on Nov 1st so I guess I'll wait and see how it fells before buying one. Mine is 33' with 2 sliders so well see.

Save your money and build your own bipod (see link below)

Just kidding, we use a tripod everytime we are disconnected. We feel that it is a necessity.

I agree....we use ours everytime we setup, regardless of stay length. Only takes a few minutes! It really helps when my DW and I are at opposite ends of the trailer. She generally wakes up a bit earlier than I do, and goes down into the living room. Without the tripod it seems that everytime one of us moves the other feels it....way more than when we are in the same end of the trailer. The tripod gets rid of 95% of this movement.

BTW, I also use the BAL chocks between the wheels...they don't seem to help with movement as much as the tripod.

I use mine, made of pretty heavy duty steel and really reduces movement. If I had another choice and may eventually, get the "Strong Arm" stabilizers that connect directly to the legs...

We don't use it for weekends but do use it when we are set up for more than a couple of days.
