is anyone having the problem of the trailer jerking during slow speed stops?
it feels like the trailer brakes are releasing just after the truck brakes and causing a jerk.
has anyone found the correction for this problem?

That is not just a problem with Dodge truck, it is a problem with all trucks if you have certain cheap controllers. I solved the problem by purchasing a Prodigy. There are other good brake controllers that will give you smooth stops also.
I am sure many others will be here shortly to talk about their Jordon, Brakesmart, TruControl, or other controllers.

Barney is probably correct but I HAVE seen a few posts from Dodge owners that talk about a delay in the brake lights going off which could cause a delay in releasing brakes on the trailer. Good luck / skip

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. I use a Prodigy brake controller. Ever since setting it up the first time, it has been nothing but smooth. Even backing up works smoothly.
Good Luck

I think I answered this on another forum. First adjust your trailer brakes. Now try re-adjusting your controller exactly according to the instructions. It sounds like yours is set-up too agressive.

mine is a techshona, on an 04 dodge 1500 4x4 quad, i have mine a little agressive but when i let off the brakes no bouncing
sounds to me you either have a goofy controller or that funny leveling dial on the controller may need adjusting like the others stated.
ive used this controller on my 99 2500 and on 4 trailers now.
