this one's a keeper

i started with a 2500hd last weekend ,,but did not keep it
well here's the rest of the story the way it started last week.

well waiting for the the truck, maybe on sat,, it is a Chevy 2008 2500hd LT1 gasser, 4x4 x cab long box.. already thinking about a bigger trailer. and also a small truck camper. the waiting is about as bad as the new payment, will post pictures when I get it. looking forward to the brake controller. the prodigy will go on ebay. will be my first sale their.
only bad thing will be getting a new topper for it. $$$$$
so tell how much I'm going to like the new tow machine.

I'm embarrassed
well i didn't keep that truck, i did not like the ride.. it was bothering my back too much,, i have ddd in my back, i thought it would not matter but i felt every crack in the road when driving. so I'm back to a 1/2 ton truck. the dealer was great to work with. so this is the updated window sticker

Nice, You point out the fact that alot of people dont take a hard enough look at and that is comfort behind the wheel. Sometimes peple look too much at power, reliabillity, mpg and dont realize it doesnt mean much if it doesnt feel comfortable riding. I always thought Ford had a little edge over GMC on ergonomics and GM had the nicer ride. I would agree that where you live 4x4 is almost mandatory. When I pulled my trailer out last November I had to shove snow first, then dig a level path and use my 4x4 just to get off the lawn.

I love the color. I was in the GMC dealer a while back getting the oil changed in my wife's Acadia. They had that truck in that color on the showroom floor... I found myself staring at it...

Congrats,

Exactly. My buddy has an artificial hip. When he was shopping for a 2500 Series truck, he drove them all. For whatever reason, the seat in the Ford caused him pain in the hip.

He ended up with a GMC 2500 Duramax and is very happy with the seats.

I'd upgrade the tires. We bought my wife a new tahoe and the P rated tires lasted about 75 miles. We live on a gravel road and all it took was one rock to ruin a front tire. We now have 17" 10 plys on it. My brother in law bought a new z-71 like yours and put 10 ply 285/18s on it and it looks really good.

If towing, you'll want heavier tires even if you stay on the pavement.

Congrats on the truck - but watch the tires.

P.S. - The Tahoe had Goodyear Wranglers. Hopefully, you have something better.

Yeah, can't understand why they keep putting P tires on these trucks while advertising higher and higher tow ratings although the stiffer ride might hurt his back again.

Nice looking truck Kenny but think the 2500HD might have had too much air in the tires. They want you to run 80 psi in the rear even unloaded or the tire pressure monitoring system will set the light. Glad the dealer worked with you and hope the truck is what you need.

Interesting. My brother has a bad arm, broke his elbow several years back in a construction accident. He had a King Ranch f-150 for about a year and just ditched it for an avalanche as the way the door was caused him so much discomfort in the arm... He said he would have gotten rid of it sooner, but didn't want to take a total financial beating...
