Directions to San Antonio Lake

NOTE: We are on the south shore of Lake San Antonio

SAL Campground map

Coming from the North
Take Highway 101 south to the Jolon Road exit (G-14). It’s just north of King City. Proceed south on Jolon Road for approximately 21 miles to the Interlake Road Intersection (the Lockwood Store will be on your left). Turn right onto Interlake Road (SAL South shore) and proceed for approximately 18 miles. Turn left onto San Antonio Road and proceed for 3 miles to the gate. It's approximately 45-minute drive from King City.

Note: we fuel up at the 1st Greenfield exit, there is a Shell station with gas & diesel and easy on and off the freeway. There is a gas station combo mini market when you first start down Jolon Road, not sure if the have diesel. The marina sells gas for a premium price at SAL! There is no place to get diesel nearby so make sure you have enough diesel when you leave the rally to go at least 30-40 miles.

Coming from the South
Take highway 101 north to Paso Robles, exit on 24th Street (G-14) and proceed approximately 7 miles. Note, this is a steep grade but very doable in an RV. Turn right on San Antonio Road and proceed approximately 7 miles to the gate entrance. It’s about a 45-minute drive from Paso Robles.

there is NO...NO..I repeat....NO exit 24 North Bound....look for the highway 41 exit..... then turn left (or West if you prefer)

Directions to our camping area

From Interlake road, turn onto San Antonio Road. It's about 1 mile once you turn off Interlake road to the SAL gate.

At the San Antonio Entrance Gate

If you are arriving on Friday and the Ranger is present, stop and tell him/her that you are with the RV.net rally and that your name is on the attendee list, the ranger will waive you on through. If no Ranger is present, go ahead and drive straight through.

The name of the campground is Redonda Vista area "E". It's the first right once you get into the park (about a mile in from the gate). Continue down through the campground about 1/4 of a mile. Turn right just AFTER the bathroom/showers (don't turn BEFORE the bathrooms) and go up the hill to the Redonda Vista "E" campground.

At the top of the hill it levels off a bit(this is the area to unhook tow cars) take the first right, you'll see a big campground sign, and another set of bathroom/showers. Our sites start at the bottom of the hill. We have sites 1 - 19 as you travel up the hill. At the top of the hill you will see the group room building. A few sites also continue down the hill after the group room.

The week following this is one of our kid's two spring breaks...we may consider heading to somewhere like Paso/WC after the rally for the rest of the week.

Last year was the first time it didn't rain, temps were in the mid 70's, but unfortunately that's not the norm. No promises of no rain, but we do have a group room to stay dry in.
