Wow, I can't keep up!
Not a Clue: it usually takes us about 5 hours - that is with a stop to buy coffee at Coffee Bean in Santa Barbara (easy on/off before the UCSB exit, but can't remember the street name); and a gasoline stop at COSTCO, either the one in Oxnard area right along the 101 or we stop by the Madonna Inn - the COSTCO is a little further off the freeway - and, we have found that gas can be cheaper going north at the offramp (instead of south to the Lake) a couple blocks so we may just gas up there...
Rick: I didn't graduate that long ago, but I think Cheri & I had a conversation at SAL about High school. Bill and I both grew up in Norwalk but because of our school district we went to Santa Fe High School. I think Bill's graduation year was close to Cheri's, I - of course, am much younger than him. He was in college when I was a freshman so we never attended high school at the same time (and he was accused of "robbing the cradle"). LOL
Signups. Wow. I need to go back to page one and see what is needed, will post another response.
Judy - the only way I can stand the commute is my wonderful carpool buddy.

Ok, for the communal meals I will bring:
Crockpot dish: Cream of broccoli soup (and disposable bowls)
Saturday lunch, I will bring platter of sliced tomatoes.
Saturday dinner: ? something edible
Sunday omelettes: Butter/margarine and Rye bread and a toaster
Sunday - Spanish Rice
Speaking of Sunday - we need to find time on either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning to "make" the tamales while the masa is still fresh and easy to work with. We can steam them, sample them, then refrigerate until Sunday. I have Shelia, Judy, and Terry on my list of volunteers. Any others who would like to help, watch,or joke with us are welcome as long as we are laughing with you ... Shelia, Judy, Terry - check your email. Hugs, J

We will bring cookies to top off the Deli lunch and a couple of jams for the toast and muffins for the omelette breakfast. I will also be happy to help with the Tamales. Sounds like GREAT FUN!

For you newbies:
Bingo
We will play three games of white elephant Bingo. Everyone is invited to play. Each player should bring at least one unwrapped white elephant (an unwanted used item - one man's trash is another man's treasure :-) There will be a prize for the person who gets a Bingo blackout for each game.

Okay...That's another question. where is the best place to stop for gas before the Lake. Easy on...Easy off. We don't have a Costco card and I don't see any Flying J's in that area.
We will be coming from the 101 side.
It sure is nice to have people that know the area to help me help out. I will be gettin spoiled.

Thanks Sherry!
Any and all items or cash donated to the goodie bags are most welcomed and very much appreciated. As you know, since I am no longer employed by Surfcontrol, I don't have any connections to get any swag

Give me a chance to think and look at Streets and Trips and I'll try to give you a couple of choices.
Just not sure about the prices.
You're not quite as picky as I am with length since you are not towing.
I know for a fact that the couple I fit into and go to, you'll have no problems with.

Make sure you get gas before you reach the lake. There is a gas pump at the Marina but it is very expensive, probably >$4/gal. There used to be a small store with gas just outside the park entrance but it was closed and up for sale when we were there last Oct. For those using diesel, the nearest place to get diesel is in Paso Robles, about 30 miles.
