Nice catch Joe!

Sure that RT isn't copper colored?...or is it the lighting deception?

They call that Sand color I think. It looks more like "gold" to me.

We stayed at a small campground in Mackinaw City, MI. Two sites away we met a couple from Ohio with a new 2007 Pleasure-Way Excel. Straight across was another older B, an Airstream I believe.

The next day we drove across Michigan's Upper Peninsula and camped at Lake Gogebic State Park. Across from us was this 1978 VW Westfalia. The couple drove it to Alaska and back towing their kayaks and bicycles. On this trip they had their two age 7 and 9 grandsons along plus their dog.

Love those close-up & personal shots Davydd...

Two age 7 and 9 grandsons along plus their dog?...in that rig?...
Hope you turned them onto RV.net, I'm sure we've got lots-a load capacity questions for them...

Here's the partial tally from our cross-country mad dash
I couldn't find any awake volunteers to write the count down in MN, but I did see 3 B's
State A B C 5 TT BUS Con Truck Slde-in pop-up Total
Mass 20 2 17 14 40 1 2 1 13 110
NY 22 2 8 3 26 4 11 76
PA 0
OHIO (N) 0
IND (N) 0
IL (N) 0
WIS 19 2 6 6 10 1 4 48
MN 0
ND 42 18 52 43 1 1 4 11 172
Idaho (N) 0
WA 0
(N)= Night travel, couldn't see them 0
saw my first ever GW in Moses Lake, WA, and several other RV's, but was too busy being a sightseer to count any
I was very surprised by the low B count overall. Did see some nice ones going the other way though. Made me jealous as I drove along in a too-packed car.

The map shows the states my wife and I have driven (or camped) in together.

That is a beautiful van!

But, I really like the huge firepit and the nice little plastic pan to catch the gray water under the van.

I would love to find a nice old VW for a decent price.

Wow! nice pits and sir... that is a nice pic... makes me feel sad being at home.

as my better half often tells me "you are never more happy than sitting next to a fire"

A nice campfire takes my mind away from the worries of the world.

Saw a Dodge RoadTrek, 190, year late 1990's early 2000 at the Ihop parking lot in Bourne, MA at the Circle, (roundabout) at approximately 10:00 AM, unable to get a photo or see the Number Plate.

Traffic was high Rose, her Mom and I along with the 3 Beagles were headed to the Canal at the parking area of the Corps of Engineers in the area of the Railroad vertical lift Bridge for the day.

Canal was busy with boat traffic.
