Un-hook the shore power and let it sit for a while before hooking to your TV and take a look at the voltage(take a volt meter) on the batts. If it drops lower than 12v you might have some issues. Be sure and check the battery water level too.

Check out the generator. Run it under load. 35 hours tells me it sat too long without being run....not good! I have over 600 hours on my '05.

Take an experienced RV'er with you. They will know how to check it out.

fewer hours on the generator is a good thing. My parents purchased a 2006 Weekend Warrior (equivalent to an 05 Raptor) with only 2 hrs on the generator. No problems to speak of. Onan recommends changing the oil & filter at the first 20hrs so you might plan on changing that. Like everyone here said, use a checklist. Just make sure everything works. Ask the owner to go over how things work and with their permission video tape it. Nice reference for your first few trips and it will probably keep them honest. Not sure if Keystone will give the info out or not but I would try to see what warranty work has been done and how frequent. Good luck and let us know how it went.

I have the exact same trailer...I have had multiple problems with the converter (located under the fridge) I have had to have them replace the propane tank regulators and the water pump makes an EXTREME amount of noise...I dont want to want to steer you away from this trailer at all it is great, just wanted you to know the problems I have had in the last 3 years...good luck...and make sure you turn on the water pump....make them fill the tank with a little water and unhook the presure line and listen for a big noise...

I checked out the water pump, it seemed to have good pressure. It made a "pump" noise, that they make some sound and I was told that is normal.

What type of converter problems did you have? What should I look for?

Thanks for your input.

One of the first things I did was replace the water pump with a High capacity Shur-flo. I also did that with my Heartland fifth wheel. Much quieter.

Check for noise dampeners under the pump. I use 3 tennis balls for dampeners, works great!!!

Normal sound- some are worse than others but still normal for it to make some noise

Tip: If the water pump is making noise that means its running.

Copter - You do realize that if you keep posting like this, pretty soon you will have a 'Senior Member'. Then it's Viagra and weak stream for you. Better pace yourself.
