We're going to AZ for the Thanksgiving weekend and a few days. We'd like to find a nice area to do some ATV riding and use the Jeep. (Toyhauler) I believe we are to be in Phoenix for Thanksgiving, then out for fun. Any suggestions?

My wife is interested in the Cottonwood/Deadhorse area and also the Box Canyon area near Florence. I'd like to see some of that cactus type terrain near Box Canyon - sort of reminds me of Baja.

Any suggestions on nice places to ride or close base camps?

Thanks,

CB

Chuck,

Check out Sycamore Creek if you can, it is a great place to ride and basically a day trip from anywhere in the Phoenix area.

This website may be helpful. You have to register to see some of it but it just takes a minute.

Florence Junction (where Box Canyon is) will have more than enough trails to keep you busy. Cool area.

Cottonwood/Deadhorse... centrally located to lots of stuff. Just depends what type of thing you are looking for.

Thanks -
My wife went ahead and hooked us up with the Cottonwood/Dead Horse area. It doesn't look like an open access dirt area, so instead of the Razor and Husky I'll roll the Harley and Husky (plated)

I think their intent is to do some hiking or such.

I've got an interest for that Florence Junction tho'..
