Anybody know of a bed mounted fuel station? Maybe 15 gallon size...on the cheap.

I found an 11 gall unit but its over $200.

I'd be considering safety over cheap when carrying fuel.

Not trying to sound sarcastic but why not 3 five gal fuel cans. I strap them up to the front of my truck bed.

Not trying to be cheap...just "shopping" around.

I have a bed cover and was looking for options to haul a small amount of fuel under it. Maybe that isnt a good idea anyway because of ventilation?

I was also thinking of maybe a hitch extender with a gas can rack on it.

That looks perfect! Gravity feed should be plenty. Thanks, I was searching and didnt see those...

I wonder how sealed this Snugtop bed cover really is? Enough leaks to let fumes vent out fro under it?

I have never understood the logic in strapping gas cans to your rear bumper. You get rear ended and all it takes is one spark during the collision sequence and you are up in flames.

The bed mounted tanks commonly seen are for diesel use only. To add a gas tank, is quite involved and expensive. I'm in the fuel tank and equipment business, and if you're talking gas, you're talking huge liability as well as being downright hazardous. You've got a little less volatile situation with diesel, but even then, you need a DOT approved system.
