Question for all rear hard slide owners - anyone else have problem with condensation on the walls of the slide? I haven't noticed much but enough to make me wonder if I should pull the mattress away from the wall so that it doesn’t sit flush/collect the moisture and possible mildew?

Vent covers so you can get good ventilation. ventilation is the best way to get rid of condensation.

So once vent covers are installed you leave them open year round?

Depends upon the weather in your area I guess. We have a hard bedslide in our unit, and while it's not being used I crack open a few of the jalousy windows to allow some ventilation. At night when we're sleeping I also leave a roof vent and a few windows open as well. That keeps the moisture content to around zero for us. When it's stored for the winter everything is closed up though.

We do leave our vent covered open all summer but it's more to let the "new" gases out. But when we had the Roo, leaving the vent open a little let in much more COLD air then we liked in the colder months (October).. and it didn't really help with the condensation really in my opinion. I really don't miss the condensation showers in the middle of the night......

Can I get some clarification!
We are talking hard slide out at the back, like the ROO 23RS, just to name a brand.

I have not noticed a problem with our Jayco 213. However, during the night (summertime anyway) we usually leave the bath vent open, and frequently the fantastic fan on. Very low white noise helps me sleep! So far this winter I have not noticed it yet either, but we are not put away for the winter, we are still using it.

Yes, we have a 26rs. And it’s along the walls not just the windows, when the heat is on inside and it's significantly colder outside. Not an all the time wetness on the walls just when we are using the heater inside and it's cold outside.

And I think I may have a contributing factor, where the floor of the slide meets the rear wall I can see light when a flashlight is shined on the area so I'm thinking that maybe if I caulk or use insulating tape on that area it may help.
