Does anyone know what causes the Jelly Fish chunks in the hot water tank.. I just drained it again for the winter and again i find these clear chunks flowing out and also clinging to the anode rod..There does not seem to be any ordor to them. Is there a good way to get rid of them forever? Each year i flush the tank on a regular basics and can't seem to eliminate them.. I also use fresh water flushing fluid I got at the RV store. Nothing seems to help..

Yikes, don't know what you're talking about, but it doesn't sound good! Have you tried sanitizing with a bleach solution? I think the ratio is one quarter cup of bleach to each 10 gals of water. Do a search; plenty of posts with the procedure. Think I would do that pronto. Good luck.
I have to wonder if you're using Municipal water supply or well water? I have no idea what a "jelly fish chuck" is but if it's a living organism I'd look at my sanitizing schedule and water source very closely.
OK, I've just spend an hour and a half reading on the Internet trying to prove a theory I had on this subject. Although I did not find anything specific, I was able to gather enough tid-bits of information here and there, and when put all together, this is possible, although very rare.
The goby clear jellyfish things are algae. Some forms of algae can be clear, especially if not fully developed and devoid of light. Algae can grow in any environment, hot or cold, with lot's of water or very, very little water. It grows all over the world, in every climate and condition.
It's possible you picked up algae from a water source that was pumped from a lake or ground water (like a river) and was not treated completely. Algae slipped into your tank where it's silently been growing ever since.
The good news is, if it hasn't killed you yet, it won't hurt you. But it probably will continue to grow in your water heater as long as there is moisture in there, and that's pretty impossible to remove the moisture from a water heater!
So, you need to get an algae killer (like used in swimming pools or water filtrations systems) and pump it in the tank and let it work. At first I thought a strong solution of bleach might do the trick. But the best solutions for killing algae are chemical made for killing algae.
If you use this, I'd suggest flushing, flushing, flushing your water heater to get all the chemicals out. The drain the water heater after every trip!
OK, I could be wrong. Maybe someone with a scientific background or a chemist or a botanist will dispute my theory, but still, it's an idea what could be happening.

are you using a water filter on the incoming water to your TT? sounds like a microscopic organism that is growing and multiplying in the hot water. usually found in untreated, unfiltered well water. just flushing will not get rid of all of them. use Clorox to sanitize entire system for 1/2 hr then flush completely. install and change filter at least every 3 months of use. make sure filter is rated for 3 or smaller microns. the organisms can carry dieses
I don't understand why anyone would pump Ocean Water into the rig. Man, that's gotta be a salty shower. Personally I always try to clean the salt water off me.
Stubborn, Stubborn, Jellyfish. Don't they they'll die in that HW tank?

are you sure its not the anode rod? i had one and i figured that that same goo was particles of my anode rod, due to the fact the rod was getting pitted and shorter? but i could be wrong...just a thought

probably just gunk picked up at a cg somewhere. living or not, try sanitizing the wh with bleach. MAKE SURE ITS OFF WHILE YOU DO THIS! if it were me, id do the water bleach mixture and not completely fill the tank. pull the trailer around for a while, and let the agitation do some work too- make sure you drain and rinse thoroughly. if youre not going to use the coach for a while, drain it and leave it empty. that should cure it.
