I have a very unusual question. We followed the process for using the built in garage door opener for the new truck, and ever since we did that, both remote door openers will not work, and the keyless entry on the outside of the garage also won't work. Could the signal from

the truck be blocking the signal from the portable remotes?

I also put new batteries in the portable remotes.

Anybody ever expierenced this?

It seems to me that this happened to us - by programming the vehicle, it changed the code on the transmitters????

They'll have to be reprogrammed.

If you have the Genie Intellicode system, just push the "program" button on the motor box (a red light should blink), push the button on the transmitter you want programmed (the light stays lit), then press the transmitter again (light goes out).

Do that to each transmitter, then everything should work??? (I hope?!)

It is my guess that your built-in door opener changed the code.
In your owners manual there should be a section about changing the code and how to re-program both the keyless entry and the remotes

Most modern garage door opener receivers have a program mode that is used to recognize the transmitter coding. While in this mode for a specific amount of time, the transmitters are activated to be added to the receiver. Perhaps your program mode needs all the transmitters to be re-registered. I have two remotes but their use was not affected when I used program mode to add my Dakota's console transmitter. Do you have the receiver manual? There should be a specific sequence of steps you'll need to perform.

Ok, all good info. Tomorrow I will reprogram all 4 units. I am so surprised that the signals would get so messsed up. I'll let you know how I made with this.

New trucks - new headaches (but I do like it!)
