My aunt and uncle have a JayFeather 213, as you probably have heard (). We were looking at the darn thermostat and could not firgure out how to use the thing! Could any JayFeather owners provide some wisdom? I believe it is an Atwood heater/thermostat. It is not like ours, which controls all systems, it just does the furnace.

It PROBABLY has a small switch on the bottom that must be opened to work. I had one like that on my Coachmen and it was hard to operate. The switch is small and it takes some force to move it. When it DOES move it only moves about an eighth of an inch. Good luck / skip

I think Skip is right. You likely have an on/off switch right on the bottom of the T-stat. Check that out.

Hi, on my new trailer the Atwood themo Switch is on the top right and is very tight to operate. every time you shut down you think that you are going to break it. Person who designed it never used it, Norm

Norm is right, it is on the top right and it is darn hard to turn on. We have the same unit as you and I hate the thermostat! Once you turn it on you still have to constantly adjust the temp to get it comfortable in there. You really have to push on it to switch it on, it will almost feel like you break it off. Hope you are enjoying your 213 like we are!
