We are looking for a A&E Patty o'Room screen to attach to our awning but was told the 5vers are to tall and they will not make a special size for us. Question does anyone with a 5ver have such a screen room for added comfort and room.
Camping world could not help us. Any help would be apprecriated.

I thought I seen them at Camping World before? I would check out the Web Site of the manufacturer and Camping World.

We had camping world order us one and still too short by 1-2 feet. A& E was not interested in making one to fit our rv as stated to us by camping world salesperson.
If anyone has A&E web site I could speak directly to them. Otherwise any suggestions for screen room. Our home park states it must be attached to RV.
Thanks

We just got a new to us 5er and it came with a 16' screen room. I think it's leisure time or something. I'm going to set it up this weekend to see how it works, I'll check it out and let you know.

I ordered one through my RV dealer. It is an aftermarket that is a universal fit, including the A&E. However, I decided to return it because I didn't want to drill holes in the side of my fiberglass trailer for the anchors. Fiberglass tends to crack if you drill holes in it.

We have the "Patty O' Room" screen room for our 5th wheel. They come in two different heights depending on whether you have a tall trailer or a short one. I forget what the measurments are but we ended up only needing the short one. Measure the distance from where the awning unrolls from the side of your 5th wheel to the ground and add about 6" for ground cover. This will determine whether or not you will need the tall version or the short version of screen room. It sounds like Camping World only stocks the short version, or they are not aware that they come in two different heights. You will have to drill the fasteners into the side of your fiver but if done carefully and are sealed with caulking prior to attaching the fastener you should have no problem. We have had ours for three years now with no leaks and no tear-out of the fasteners.
Good Luck with your search.

Ponderosa, I haven't seen a picture of the screen room you want, so I might be way off the mark with this suggestion.
I'm assuming there is some sort of fabric other than the screen material up at the top of the AAR. Even one inch of fabric without hems, grommets, or other obstructions would be enough. If so, then you should be able to get a local canvas shop to cut the AAR fabric horizontally all the way around and add in a piece of coordinating or matching fabric, creating a big stripe around the top. The stripe would, of course, be of the proper width to make the screen room tall enough. This method would be a simple alteration that shouldn't cost too much, as it won't disturb either the bottom or the top of the original room. The only thing would be you'd have to figure out how to attach the new section to the RV.
If there are zippers top to bottom on the corners, that would complicate things but in that case, I'd take a picture of the AAR to the canvas shop and ask for thier suggestions and an estimate before you buy it. It still wouldn't be a real tough fix, IMO.
Keep in mind, adding more fabric also would add more weight to your awning, more stress in windy conditions, etc. I have no experience with screen rooms, so I don't know if any of that would matter or not.
Good luck.

Ponderosa;
We have a carefree add a room from rvcatalog.com which is the LTD model which only has 4 bracket attached to the trailer, 1 at the top of each end and 1 at the bottom. It is sealed to the trailer with a v type rubber gasket with a pole inside. It comes in height from rail to ground of 92" to 125". I've used mine for 2 year at a permanet campgroud and because I was able to take it down I did not have to pay taxes on the site. It is a vinyl unit and stayed up real well.

I finally set up the screen room today. It's a "Bonus Room" by Gold Coast RV Products in California. Went up pretty easy. The room goes all the way to the ground. There is no drilling or anything into the unit. Seems pretty good, but this is my first screen room.
I put a picture in with my other pictures, click on the link and look under Hornet. It also has privacy panels, but it was so windy I thought the Awning was going to tear off. Hope this helps.
