I have 2004 Keystone Sprinter fifth wheel. I am considering replaceing a damaged roof A/C unit. I have a Model 57915.331 Duo Therm Brisk Air 13,500 cfm unit. I have access to a new take off unit removed from a 2007 Skyline fifth wheel. It was replaced by a low profile unit because it was too high the storage room. It is a Duo Therm Brisk Air, 13,500 cfm, model 57915.541. It is equipped with a remote control devise and mine is not, otherwise I believe the rest of the internal equipment appears to be the same as mine. Can this switch be made and will the electrical hook up be the same. Does anyone know if this is will work and are there any pitfalls I need to know about? Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
SK

Not sure about the differences but physically it should be an easy swap. Electrical is black to bblack/white to white and ground unit. Not sure about teh remote so if there seems to be any type of additional box or whatever with the newer unit make sure you get it all as I would think the remote is controlliing the unit at teh top of it.

Nothing factual, jsut what I think so be sure you check out all the options. If really still in doubt call the unit's manufacturer and be sure.

If you can undo the old one, then it's an easy swap.
Well other than getting the new one up on the roof. The old one goes down fast.

They are the same unit electronically so they will replace each other even thou the new one has a remote control.

The only pitfall I can imagine is if you might want to replace it with a 15000 BTU unit.

I am a fan of the bigger units because they have more cooling capacity and in more mild weather can be run on low speed, less noise. On the other hand if your generator is lacking in capacity the smaller one could be best.
