We just got back for our first trip in our new Jayco 29fbs. I was a great time and we are making plans for our next adventure. Other than the middle gray tank that holds the shower water filling up we had no problems, till we started to hook up to come home. If a buddy had'nt come by and help we would still be there work on that hitch. I have read several things about hitches in this form and wanted to see if any one can give me some insight on the easiest way to hook up with the equil-i-zer hitch?

You're welcome, Don. The only reason I knew about that link is I am a new guy as well, at least to the Equal-i-zer. I pick up my new trailer on Thurs and it will have an Equal-i-zer installed. I have been using a Reese Dual Cam for the last 3 years, so I wanted to get the skinny on the Equal-i-zer. Looks like a nice hitch.

I have the Equal-i-zer on my 29 Ft Sunline. I works great. Once you use it a few times, it is easy to hook up. Be glad to help with any questions.

Don I have the equal-I-zer on the trailer I just bought from a private owner when I went to pick up the trailer the owner was having a hard time getting the bars on to the L-brackets.
I told him I had read the manual on line as well as watching the video.
with the trailer hooked to my truck, I just lowered the tongue jack which raised the hitch until the bars would slid onto the L-brackets with out any straining at all.
He said that sure would have made camping a lot easier if he had known.

Makes you kind of wonder how he was getting them off?

YES, I cannot imagine trying to put the bars on or off without raising the tongue after locking the hitch to the ball. Sounds like a good way to get hurt.

If you haven't been following the threads on this, the other hint that is worth 20 times the price is to get an electric jack if you don't have one. That "way up" and "way down" with to get the Equal-i-zer on an off is much, much easier with electricity!

Most definately, and you might as well get a 3500lb model while your doing it.
