I'm trying to plan a trip to St. Anthony for March or April. Most of what I've found on the internet on camping says first come first serve. I was just curious if there is sand camping there. Those of you that go to St. Anthony, where to you stay? Largest trailer in our group is a WW LE3305 and he has had no problem with accessing anything in the Oregon dunes.

Thanks

Your gonna love it, the dunes are waaaay better than Oregon! Double check me but I think the dunes are closed until April 1 for the Moose migration. Its still chilly up there and snow on the ground. May/June would be nicer imho. I've only stayed at Desert Oasis but your other options are Sand Hills Resort and the BLM first come first serve area. All have direct dune acess. For more info check out Duneratt

Desert Oasis is a great place to stay. Their dry camping area is huge so you can circle all your rigs together.

Great choice for a trip. We had an awesome time on our trip and are thinking about going back this year. We found Duneratt's website great and also did some research on Duneguide. Both sites have links to campgrounds and other area info.

Have a great time. I would check the weather closely. March might still be pretty cold and snowy.

Are you taking snowmobiles or quads? There is a very good chance there will still be snow in March.

You could go this route -

07 Keystone Raptor 3612DS
05 Road King Custom
07 Can-Am DS 650 X
06 Can-Am DS 250

I can not add much, except another web site to check out dune review. I think it is Elk migration, not Moose. Wonderful place to dune.

We were there is August and had a great time. We stayed at Sand Hills but also checked out Desert Oasis. Both campgrounds have pros & cons. Either one works for me. Watch out for the lava rock as it can ruin your day.

Awesome place!

Seems like it would be cold that time of year.

Thanks for all the replies and info. Looks like we're planning a guys only trip in May or so and then probably take a long trip with the familes near the end of summer.

Thanks again.
