We have a Holmes ceramic heater. Oscillating and it is remote control.
We bought it from Wal-Mart about 3 years ago.

Just curious, but why not just use the furnace? Are you trying to save on LP gas?

Whatever you buy, make sure it has two safety devices: (1.) Tip over cut off switch, and (2.) overheat cut off switch.
I have 3 I bought from WalMart for about $17 each that I use all the time. Two usually completely heat my RV and the 3rd one when its verrrryyyy cold.

Ditto the above answer. We will sometimes turn our furnace on in the morning just long enough to take the chill out of the air. Otherwise, we use the ceramic heaters to save on propane costs.

My husband & I are looking at buying a heater too. The October issue of Consumer Reports has an article that rates space heaters. The article has been helpful for us to sort out the many brands and the "noise" issue of those with fans. Also, indicates safety and specific features of each. Sure helps you shop smarter....

Any Holmes heater should make you happy. We bought one for about $20. and has kept us warm with both tentends expanded down to about 30. We've used it even lower, but that's required an extra blanket or clothing. Used it in a "real tent" just last weekend. (I know, its cheating)
We bought ours at Target, btw.

Not from Walmart but it's the best you can get. Good luck / Skip
I have one of these that I bought in the 70s for my boat. It has now been through four boats a TT and is in use in our MH. Shuts off if it tips over or overheats because something blocks the air passages, very compact, plenty of heat, and virtually indestructible.

I bought one at Walmart recently and paid $40. A little more expensive, but it came with a remote control! Now I can adjust the heat without waking up dh and making him get out of bed (I sleep on the far end).
