Much like Ford and Mercury in the world of cars, they are both built the same way except for the options. A lot of trailer manufacturers do this Skyline builds the Aljo and Nomad which are mostly the same. Be careful with the weight on the Artic Fox, some models are REAL heavy and don't handle well unless you have alot of truck.

Riverdog,
Since you are out here in the NW, why not take a look at Komfort as well? Very high quality, full featured TT's with lots of floorplans.(but heavy).
I believe Komfort was bought by Northwood, but is still operated independently. There are a number of dealers local to Seattle. PM me if you have an questions or want further opinions based our our research and experience. We also looked very seriously at Arctic Fox and Holiday Rambler in our search.
Good luck with your search.

Actually, Komfort is a Thor company. They do make a pretty good trailer. In some respects they are superior to Northwood units. The two things that stick out, to me, are that they use a gel coat fiberglass and "all" their trailers are aluminum studded. As far as interiors their smaller trailers look pretty plain inside.
There are a "few" unhappy Northwood owners, but the happy and loyal ones are at about 99.9 percent. In all the time I have read these boards I have seen four owners who thought they were mishandled. Many have had their concerns addressed after their warrantees had run out.
Our recently sold 22H was a pleasure to own and if I ever needed anything a call to the factory took care of it. Their not warm and fuzzy, but they will help if your request is reasonable. Some things were attended to way after the warrantee had run out.
For me the big difference between the Nash and Fox is the weight. Since I want to stay with a smaller truck we are in the process of looking at smaller, lighter trailers. Nothing I've seen so far, when it comes to "stick" trailers is competitive with Northwood when it comes to build quality.

OOPS, you are correct. It's early out here. My wife says I should not talk unless I know what I am talking about... and of course she is right....as usual.

The simple answer is a Nash and an Arctic Fox are basically the same except the AF comes loaded with many standard features that would be optional on the Nash.
We have the AF32D and love it.

The Fox and Nash are the same with the exception of upgrades. I don't think you can get the all aluminum frame in a Nash and the side fiberglass may not be available in the Nash either. Not sure. We really, really, like our Fox and it has very well for us. A true cold weather unit.

Thanks everyone, you were right on the money with your reply's. My other concern now is the tow weights. I have a 5.3, 2005 Tahoe and it looks like the 22h might be to much for it? Those are some heavy trailers.

I think the main stand out difference is that heated tanks are standard on the Fox and optional on Nash.
