I'm partial to the one in the sig...and the quality for the price point is outstanding...and the manufacturer stands behind their products when there are problems. (This is our third Pilgrim!!) This will be the last bunkhouse we'll need before the kids move on.

I'm currently shopping for my first 5er RV and have looked at many floor plans for a bunk house model (preferably w/ a 1/2 bath, too). I was just in a Cypress 33RBHB over the weekend. I expected the quality to be higher than other 5ers I have seen. I was surprisingly disappointed w/ the Cypress. The bi-fold door to the bunk room was lined w/ strips (non-continuous) of Velcro to help keep it closed (never mind the rriiiiiiip! noise when you opened the door). Plus there was a 1/4" gap between the panels, making it easy for the living area lights to bother the occupants of the bunk room. The TV location was also poorly designed - on top of a high storage unit, making it impossible for the lower bunk person to see it. THEN the flop desk hinge seemed to be easily bent w/out any weight on it, plus the screws seemed to be ripping out. Space between the queen bed and lav was very narrow, as was the space between "walls" at the stairs.
Overall, for the money vs. quality, I thought the Cypress was really bad and disappointing. After also seeing a Forest River Cardinal LE 36-2BH (w/ more storage and space and quality and amenities) for a similar unit, my vote is easily for the Cardinal.
and a +1 to the Glendale Titanium 3-bedroom model. If I had the money, I'd get THAT one!!!
Oh, and thanks for the links to some other models I haven't investigated yet!

We have a KZ Durango with bunks. May not be high on some people's list but workable for us. The door to the back area is inside the wall, I forget what you call that. Works fine. If money were no object, I might have looked further but this was an almost new one in perfect condition and dealer (we didn't buy it from the dealer but we have used them since buying it from a private party) has been great about service. 30" with one slideout.
Thanks guys for all the opinions. I am considering a fiver as our next RV. Nothing wrong with the motorhome, but our camping style is changing (less frequent, more local trips).

We have a Keystone Challenger 36RBS (I think that's the model) and we LOVE it. We live in it full time and are in Nebraska where it hasn't gotten any warmer than 37 since Wed and we are very warm in it. Anyways the model we have was supposed to come with a couch then a bunk above it and it has a big closet with shelves and there's a bunk on top of the closet. Our's came with cabinets over the couch instead of the bunk which was fine with us. Now we have a baby on the way and we took the couch out and are gonna put the baby bed where the couch was and our 6 year old sleeps on the bunk above the closet. We have sooo much storage space in Leah's room which she needs.
We bought our Challenger at Lazy Days in Seffner, Fl. and they were great. We have no regrets about our road home. There's no way we would go back to a travel trailer after living in a 5er. Hope you find what you're lookin for.
As far as the "best" available for a bunkhouse model, I found that Teton Homes seemed to be built at a substantially higher caliber above the remainder of the market. Travel Supreme and Carriage also offered nice full time RVs, but my wife and I still felt that when we were shopping that they didn't quite offer enough for the price. Teton was 15% more money at the time (we have a 2007 Experience Frontier), but they also offered true hardwood maple cabinetry, true porcelain flooring, insulated windows with argon between the glass, a remarkable amount of exterior storage, painted graphics over vinyl, a 3-year warranty, and the reputation of being a true devoted brand to high-end fifth wheels.
The Scottsdale is their bunkhouse model... its a bit large too. 42'-44' I believe. However, it is unmatched otherwise if you truly wish to have a quality RV. I am damn proud to have mine and have had very, very few issues to date.
