This is our first year with an RV and have done some camping in various campgrounds but have not found many that we would go back to except for South Arm in Maine and Atlantic Oaks on Cape Cod. Does anybody have any favorite campgrounds in the New England area (not necessarily with children activities) that you really enjoy?

We enjoy some of the state parks in Massachusettes, Wompatuck and Massasoit. Large sites and quiet campgrounds. Kids will have to entertain themselves as there are no activities for them. Though Wompatuck is only about ten minutes from Nantasket beach. A very nice beach.

We enjoyed Cape Ann Campsites in Gloucester, MA. Be sure to check out the view from the back of the cg.

I agree. Cape Ann Campsite is a hidden jewel. Also try Mi-Te-Jo in Milton NH. It's right on Milton Three Ponds. Very clean and well run. We spend a lot of time at each every year

What type of camping do you like to do? If you want to dry camp, you can't beat the state campgrounds in the Adirondacks in upstate New York. I know, technically not New England, but it is close.

Mi-Te-Jo is great. You could also try Wild Duck just south of Portland, KOA in Bar Harbor, Shore Hills in Boothbay and Meredith Woods In Meredith.

I've been to South Arm, and like it, too. I also like Cobscook State Park (Down east), and Chewonki (Wiscasset). If you go off season, Dummer's Beach (Weld) is lovely-you can walk most of the way across the lake.
