Our TT in just an inch or 2 short of 33ft. So far no issues getting into sites, including one in Yellowstone. I haven't yet tried national forest campgrounds. Its great having all the room & the recliner is pretty nice too!

Our first trailer is a 30' bumper pull, so we have nothing to use as a comparison. We have never had any issues with travel. We go at least one long weekend every month from 50 miles to about 400 miles. Our average trip is about 100 - 150 miles from home. I, like someone above, pay particular attention to the tail swing in town, but other than that we roll on down the road. I am not crazy about being passed by diesels on the interstate, but we cope.
The only time we have issues in campgrounds is when they are poorly planned and the older State Parks.
My next unit will be longer. 30' is ok, but 40' would be better. I would like to find a model that has two complete bedrooms (one on each end). We travel with my elderly parents a few times per year and we sleep on the couch to give them the bed. It would be nice to have two full/queen beds and a middle slide for the living area. It would be hard to get my 50 something DW into that top bunk on the bunkhouse models. When we were looking at those my wife would just say "sure".

We tow all the time and go anywhere. We have never been turned away because we dont fit and we havent had any issues. There is plenty of room for all 5 of us and we LOVE it.
DH and I have our signals down and we can be backed up and unhooked in less than 10 minutes - He is good. We dont embarrass ourselves yelling or keep people up when we come in someplace late.
When kids are gone, we might go smaller or we might just enjoy all the room to ourselves

Our TT is 34'-11" from fore to aft. We went from a 25'. The biggest problem I have is getting it through town and even that is not that difficult. I just make the turns a little wider. Once I get on the Highway I cant hardly tell its 10' longer.

We have gone from a 27' to a 33' TT and to be honest, it really has not made any significant difference in towing or parking. The extra room in the trailer far out weighs the small loss of mileage and performance.

Our previous TT was a 30', our present one (purchased Feb. '07) is 32.5'. So far no campsite issues as to trailer length, and no regrets (we love the room), but I try to avoid reserving sites which I know are really too short for the trailer or which have obstacles such as trees near the road which would make backing it in difficult. The trailer pulls as well as our 30' trailer, with the Reese Dual-Cam HP trunnion bar hitch.
The driveway approach to our RV garage is only 24' curb to garage door. I have no trouble backing the trailer through the 12' wide garage door from the street, although the rear of the trailer enters the door while the tongue is still 8' into the street. After backing in, though, I usually pull the trailer straight forward until the trailer is lined up straight behind the truck, (this puts the truck back into the street), and back carefully in again to get the trailer totally parallel with the garage's sidewalls.
Getting it parallel when backing in the first time is difficult, because with the sharp angle required between truck and trailer to get the trailer turned 90 degrees into the door, I'm unable to see the rear of the trailer in my mirrors until it is almost touching the back wall of the garage. This is slightly more difficult than with the 30', but not nearly hard enough to make me regret buying the longer trailer.
