Didn't know if this was the right forum or not...but was wondering if anyone out there has the Sleep Number Bed for RVs. We're considering it. Our son has the regular one and just loves it. Don't want to spend all that money if it doesn't really give relief. Thanks...know it will just be personal opinions, but that helps.

We don't have a sleep number bed but will mention what we did re a comfy place to sleep. We recently bought a used Class A and tho the bed was like new it was extremely firm and uncomfortable. I bought, from LL Bean, a down filled pillow top (4" thick) - it was sort of pricy but for a couple of senior citizens who require a good night's sleep, it was worth every penny! I put it on top of the mattress, then a quilted mattress cover, then the sheet.

There is a current discussion about these beds going on HERE with lots of different opinions.

Well I can tell you what not to buy. And that is one of them darn memory foam mattress. NASA my butt. Then when we bought or TT it had one of those bed of springs covered in cloth. Bought A firm pillow top, now that is sleeping. Always wanted to try A sleep# bed. So let us know how it is for you. I knoe they cannot be anymore than that hunk of foam we sleep on now.

Many folks really like the "Select Comfort" beds but SOME (like DW and me) didn't like ours in our home. It was when we noticed that our RV mattress was a LOT more comfortable than our "Select Comfort" at home that we got rid of it. If you haven't slept on one you probably should before buying. Good luck / Skip

I was thinking of getting one, but my wife said she didn't want to spend another $300 on a bed right now.

My wife and I love our sleep number. I didn't want to spend the $1100 to $1200 for a bed so I done a search. I found a sight
ronthebusnut.com. I got the sleep number just like the one campers world sells for $1200. Ron advertises the short queen for $450.
Some have blemishes. I ordered mine from ronthebusnut for $450. He shipped it to us while we were in Brownsville Texas. When we got it there was no problem to putting it together (if I can do it anyone can), then plug into an outlet set the number you want to try and let it set. Ours had no type of problems or blemishes. It was perfect and we love it. Any questions feel free to pm me.

It came with the MH. I enjoy it, my wife puts up with it. She notices the difference between the two sides, as a ridge in the middle. I don't like it enough to argue with her. But it came with the rig, and it is acceptable. I would honestly suggest you find a place where you could sleep on one before you invest in one. Another point, just about any place we go requires going over a mountain range. I have to remember to drop the mattress pressure before starting the morning drive. Just one more thing to add to the list.
