EDIT! I recieved a PM asking about camber VS "toe-in".?? It MIGHT be "toe in" needs adjusted ( I ALWAYS get front end alinement nomenclature WRONG...lol)but its whatever..?..adjustment that will make it track straight! But a call to CC tech support will get it straight for you
There are several alignment angles. Four are designed into the structure of the vehicle and suspension, while 3 commonly adjustable and therefore of interest to us.
Camber: The tilt of the tire; negative camber looks like this => / \. Camber is the tilting of the wheels from the vertical when viewed from the front of the vehicle. If the wheels tilt outward at the top, the camber is positive (+); tilts inward at the top, the camber is negative (-). The amount of tilt is measured in degrees from the vertical. Camber influences directional control & tire wear. Excess positive camber => premature wear on outside of tire. Excess negative camber => wear on the inside of tire. Unequal side-to-side camber => vehicle to pull to the side with the most positive camber. Camber is not adjustable on solid axles and therefore not a concern to many of us. Camber is adjustable on IFS & IRS.
Okie doke...then I remeembered correctly...it was Camber. CC told me that amount of negative would make it steer straight...and it sure does!
2000 Country Coach Allure; Cummins ISC 330 HP; 71/2 - 8 MPG regardless
2002 Jeep Liberty
We had a 2006 Country Coach Affinity and test drove the Beaver Marquis, Monaco Signature, and the Country Coach was by far the better ride. It has been mentioned already maybe the tire pressure was off but in my opinion, the Country Coach ride is pretty tough to beat.
I would say go with the Country Coach. We bought a 2006 Inspire 360 DaVinci model in May and we LOVE it. Just returned from 74 day 14,000 mile trip with it and it was awesome. The ride is great - quiet and smooth. Also we can turn into places we can't even go with our Chevy Silverado pickup.

74 days...14,000 miles! No "grass growing" there for sure!!!!
I,ve had a Dutch Star on a Spartan chassis, I currently have a Freightliner XC and my son has a Country Coach Intrigue. The Country Coach wins by a landslide.
Our 2007 Country Coach Allure also handles great and is straight as an arrow. We've owned previous DP's, but CC wins hands down in our book also. Definately have it looked at. Something isn't right. We test drove an 07 Allure in Las Vegas at a dealer there before we purchased our current Allure. The coach in Vegas definately had something wrong w/it - the handling was horrible. We ended up purchasing in another state.
Make sure the coach is right and/or call CC in oregon and talk w/their tech service. There are many CC's out there used, that are in perfect condition. If the coach you are looking to purchase, isn't perfect than don't buy it - I'm sure you can find another that's fits the bill perfectly and tracks straight on.
ROwen wrote: I have been researching MH's for a few weeks and decided that Country Coach was at the top of my list. One of the reasons was the excellent reviews on the driveability of the Dynomax chassis and suspension. So we had a test drive on Friday and were surprised by the fact that it seemed to wander a bit on the freeway
. It was a bit rough on I5 in that area, but it still was a bit dissapointing.
Can I get comments from Country Coach owners? Is there some quick fix to this? Is it common?
Thanks
I test drove a Beaver Contessa and a CC Allure over the weekend and I found the same thing. On the fwy the CC seemed to wonder a bit. Not too severe but it was noticeable. The salesman said it was common for people to over compensate until they spend some time behind the wheel.
Country Coaches do have the best ride that I have Seen, We own a 2003
Intrigue and have been happy in most things, but all have their own quirks,
1-new problem Lost air ride on the drivers side and the coach sat down on the rear tires and that just screws up your whole day, but I called CC
and was told that a valve went out, the over ride is by leveling the coach manual mode and pull in my coach #68 fuse, this keeps the computer from going to travel mode which would blow air, I will tell you that the ride is one you would never forget, and it beat me to death, got home and I got under coach and found a broken rod, that I would only think to have something to do with my problem, it controls over travel of the air bags I think, will find out soon, how much to repair it.
2-Batteries control everything in the Country Coach world and if you every have a battery failure you will not what it puts you through,Bad battery can give low voltage to the most important things in your coach, Refgr.,Heat,, Lights, Water Pump, Toilet, as voltage drops the coach will start to protect it self,1-lites will go,2-water pump will not stay on,3-heater will only work as long as generator is running, voltage drops far enough your propane shuts down,oh yes between 1-2 the toilet will stop, and it works only if you have the water pump(electric toilets)and the cost to replace two agm 8g series is about 1400$, it is best to replace in pairs
