After all these replies reccommending the Baby Q, I also have one and it is excellent..

I would like to provide an answer to the OP's question regarding hooking up to the RVQ,s gas outlet.

The Baby Q has a separate regulator and control valve, unlike the Go-Anywhere Weber that is pictured as one that does not. They are connected directly to each other, but can be easily separated and that regulator removed as they are joined by a pipe connection. With the proper fittings and hose, you could adapt a Baby Q to the low pressure LP fitting on your TT.

That said, I have the same connection on my TT and have given thought to doing this myself, however, most of our camping is done at State and National parks with large campsites. I would need a long hose to reach to the picnic tables where we set up to BBQ. This would pose a tripping hazard. I pack an extra 20 gal LP tank, and propane tree where I use my Lantern on top and a hose connection to the Baby Q.

A question, especially now that winter is soon upon us. I've tried a number of the small bottle, propane grills and I keep having a problem with the bottle freezing. Am I missing something?

Well, It's just me and the GF so we have the little Weber Go-Anywhere grill

I prefer cooking with charcoal. With just two of us, we use a tabletop charcoal grill that looks much like the one above.

Another vote for the Baby-Q, Got rid of the big grill at home, and only use the little Q now.

Several years ago my DW purchased the Q off of TV. It is shaped like a bullet and has a canvas carrying case. It uses the small propane bottles but I believe that sometime I will convert it over so I can use my big propane bottle. It is good for 2-3 people and it is easy to use.

The one you are refering to is the Thane "Q" that is not at all like the Weber Q.

If you do a search on the Thane Q, there have been fire issues with that grill.

Here is a link to reviews by owners. Most have called it dangerous.
The manufacturer has taken it off the market.

I would suggest that you discontinue use of this grill and certainly NOT modify it to operate on a bulk tank.

Here is a review worth considering:

Pros: Would make a nice doorstop
Cons: BURST INTO FLAMES ON FIRST USE

Upon the first use of this grill, it immediately burst into flames. It required a fire extinguisher to put out and left the rear part of the unit completely melted as that is where it was flaming from. I don't know if it was a problem with the gas container or the actual grill unit, but the product is now useless. What's even more embarrassing is that this happened upon it's first use...at a family get-together with the entire family watching as this grill began to burn in front of our eyes. It still is within the 30 day warranty but we haven't contacted the company yet regarding a complaint. Went here first to warn any potential buyers. Any suggestions on what to do next?

Cobb charcoal grill. Compact and only uses 5 to 10 briquets.

A good hint if you have the small propane bottles is buy a Propane torch or just the torch head & you can use those small bottles for your grill or to start the campfire. It doesn't work on the yellow ones only the generic blue bottles are interchangable.
