If the Cummins dealer does not have it in stock, they will order it and then get ya for the shipping also. Napa has them too. When I bought mine from the dealer, it came in a Cummins box with a Mopar label on it. Go figure.

Depending on what state you bough it in and the options list is what determines if it came with a cord or not. This is not true as any dealer can order the truck with the block heater option $10 MSRP, both my 03 and now the 07 6.7 were ordered with this option.
Can anybody say this is not just a way some dealers make extra $$$ off a truck by not ordering it with the block heater option. JMHO

The later 5.9s and 6.7s are all built with the block heater from the Cummins factory. The Block heater option for $10.00 is only for the heater cord. I bought the cord from the dealer for $34.00 dollars and will install it myself. If I were to let the dealer install it then it would be (as quoted by the dealer) $85.00 which includes the minimum of 1 hour labor added to the cost of the cord. It seems stupid to pay an extra 10 bucks for a cord in order to use the block heater that was built into the block. It should be included in the Diesel package the way it used to be.

he is correct that it is an option. BUT that option is not actually for the block heater, its for JUST the cord. My uncle bought a local truck that did not have the option and all he had to do was buy a cord and plug it in to the block heater that comes in all the trucks whether or not the option was chosen. SO as stated that option is not actually for the heater itself, just the cord!
Just like the early 07.5 6.7 cummins came with the exhaust brake but was not turned on or have the switch installed. SO they charged ppl like $500 to have it turned on via computer flash and for a switch. But ALL 6.7's indeed have the exhaust brake to begin with as it is just a bonus to having this kind of a Variable Geometry turbo.

I just bought a cord in Deming, NM and they soaked me for $42!!!!
My truck also came with the smallest possible mirrors (on a dually with the tow package!?!). Needless to say I had to buy the regular tow mirrors after delivery and have the stealer (Lithia, Santa Fe, NM) install them.
It seems a little long which makes me think I've got it routed wrong. There are also 3 of those plastic holders that you push in a hole to stablize the cable. They're already on the cable but I didn't see any where to plug them in. I can screw a cable strap to the bumper to hold the plug end, but I would like to know that it's routed right.
BTW I did route it around the oil filter and outside the frame to keep it away from the belt.

A lil bit cold - snow doesn't last long here. This might help you get the cord:
