and then turn your thermostat down so you don't go through the LP so fast. Set it to 55° at night and throw on some extra blankets. Your tanks should last for a long time that way.

We saved a bunch of LP Gas Friday night, the heater did NOT work.
Was 42* inside Saturday morning, Finally HAD to throw off the blankie and go offload some of the excess beer, man it was cold!!
Thank goodness it was very nice weather Saturday, made Us forget about the Heater malfunction.

Bring it out, We will be there with Ours, Staying over in the Valley by the abandoned tracks. Near where we went thru the tunnel under the tracks but closer to 395.

We drove past that spot during last year's Rally (depending on which way you came back).

That's why he got the no-fault escape pod. We're hoping to get him back out with us soon. He's currently undergoing radiation therapy for prostate cancer. I expect him to beat this and get back to the desert with us.

He's the one who got me into all of this.

Pam: "Hey Dave, want to come down south and meet my parents?"

Me (sucker): "Sure...Wait a minute, where are you taking me?"

My intro to my then future in-laws was out at Dove Springs in 1986. It was all downhill from there.

Hi Dave, We're still on the fence on this because Lisa has to work Wednesday - Friday but my son and I have the time off, and we've never been to OW or any of that area, so it would be a good time to venture out that far versus a weekend trip, which will be a lot of time spent on driving back to Ventura.
Lisa is willing to drive down on Friday by herself, so we'll see as time progresses.
I just wanted to give you a heads-up in advance.
Thanks

It's never a race. Everybody wins when we get to the end end of the ride with everyone we started with.

There's a certain technique and etiquette involved in group rides (or any ride with more than one person). Everyone watches out for the rider behind them. If you don't see the rider behind you, then you slow down until you see them. If you don't see them, then you assume they're hurt or lost. If you get separated and don't know the way, then stop and wait for the rider in front of you to double-back and help out.

The rider at the front of the line can almost never see the very end of the pack. But if everyone watches out for the person behind them, then it all works like choreography.

I definitely don't want to pull anyone away from the OW trip. That trip has been on the Hoolie schedule for a long time. We just can't make it out there, plus Spangler is such a tradition for us.

But I'd be just as happy with 5-10 families on this trip. The small ones are fun too and not quite as punishing on the liver. I just threw this one out there while I was updating the schedule yesterday, because the poor calendar looked so lonely with nothing on it.

But if Lisa is working Wed-Fri, you guys could still have a good trip (wherever you go) from Fri 12/31 to Wed 1/2. That's still five nights.

Yes Dave
We rode by there at last years Poker Run, and close by there this year, thats where I got the idea to stay there.
If Your at the tunnel going under the tracks (The one used on this years poker ride), its a pretty straight shot towards the Hwy from there.
Jim & I should be out there Friday thru Tuesday, D W & D I L will have to go home Sunday, so were bringing an extra vehicle for them.

I love when folks ride with etiquette we usually stop as a small group all together but thats usually just 3-7 riders and some are just beginners, but with a very large group you are couldn't do that.
At gorman there are so many people we do that also just to make sure we have the right people too! Lots of the same colors of bikes/helmets/gear out there!

Having a wife that likes the DEZ is cool, one that rides, "priceless"
