Just wondering if anyone online here is at Kunkaak, Kino Bay, Islandia, La Playa, or?? any of the parks in Bahia de Kino?
Hoping for some current info on space availability. Inspired by the 'RV'ing Mexico' DVD and the Church's book, not wanting to commit to an itinerary, have not made any reservations and I'm a bit nervous.....
Should be there by Monday 12-3. I know, I know,... I could call the parks, pero, no tengo control del gramatica!! And, besides, I'm a newbie. Need to jump in and make a few posts on the forum, verdad?
Thanks in advance for any help.- Delfin

Not sure about availability at Islandia, but it's first come-first serve. No reservations accepted.

We are currently at Islandia and its is suprisingly almost full. I would say there may be 3 or 4 spaces open today. It however does change on almost a daily basis. In New Kino there were quite a few of the smaller parks along the beach that had open spaces a couple of days ago. If you would like PM me as you get closer and I will give you an update.

There is room at Kino Bay Trailer Park. Forget La Playa. Do try Islandia. Nice Mexican Park and friendly people.

Plenty of room at Kino bay RV park which is my preference but Kunkaak is also available along with most parks in Kino with maybe the exception of LaPlaya which tends to stay full with annuals. We stay here at Kino bay rv park about 8 months out of the year so if you have any specific questions just send me an email. You might want to read my post concerning exclusive rv parks in Mexico.

Yes they are trying to turn Kino bay RV Park into a private upscale park by offering 10 and 20 year leases on the sights. If you want to know more drop me a private email or see my posting on this subject in the Mexican forum under Upscale Mexican RV parks. I can only guess this will take about 2-3 years to happen, until then they will be open to tranists.

We are presently in La Playa. There is one row (about 10 sites) kept open for short term folks, the sites don't have the RV "ports" but have 30/50 amp service, water and sewer. It a great facility, the folks are friendly and helpful.
We have had no problems in the past getting a site here in December on our way down south or on our way back up in March.
There are also lots of sites available here in New Kino at other parks, the place is very quiet presently.
