That's discussing ... between that and the bed bugs I'm with you. I don't think we stayed in a hotel since we built our bus, we take it no matter what the cost.

Didn't you ever notice how those Housecleaning Carts never had glasses on them and always full of "Fresh Towels", not used
*Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - "WOW, What a ride!"

That is why we brought a motorhome. Don't have to worry about dirty nasty cups or bed bugs anymore. There is only one motel chain that we would consider staying at anymore, just because of the mattress.

I saw this early this morning and was telling my wife about it. She has this thing about the bed spread on the bed, she says they never change it so we have to take it off and the blankets. Now the glasses, what next?

Old Guy... I've got the same big problem with bedspreads at hotels! So tell your wife she's not alone.

When you all watched that clip, did you catch the bit about Staph infection? My daughter spent 2 weeks in the hospital earlier this month for an antiobiotic-resistant strain of staph that she believes she caught from a hotel - it's the type of staph that is referred to as "flesh eating". It's unbelievably nasty.
Just one more side note... because of the staph risks, many people are also washing new clothes before wearing them - in case an infected person had possibly tried them on previously in the store before being sold to the final customer.

Amazing... and we just stayed in two hotels in China. Wonder what their standards were... my DW & two kids now have a stomache virus and have it coming out both ends... we never use hotel glasses, but if a house cleaner cleans the toilet then cleans the sink... poopville or possibly worse!

And you ain't even touched the issue of DNA on the bed cover, foot desease on the carpets and B/R floor, contaminated air filters in the a/c system (most hotels don't have windows that open to allow fresh air), and guaranteed sanitized towels and facecloths.
We used to bring our own pillow and face clothes AND Lysol spray. That's one of the big reasons we have our own 'land yacht'. I say no more!
