-DW thinks the Woodall's book is a great thing to put underneath her flower vase (i.e. I do all the selecting of RV Parks)
- DW can read a bubble level very well (as in after utilizing every combination of blocks, digging, filling, etc that I can think of, DW says "Well, now it just a smidge off the other way! Can you undo something?")
- The bit about unhitching may have a grain of truth in it: DW can understand most of the time what "retract" or "extend" means with regard to the landing gear....but that's the extent of it: She says "I'm ready to unhitch"...which translates as "when you tell me to, I'll extend or retract"
- Bit of truth on the cooking, but our division is simple: if it involves grilling, boiling, or frying, I do it...baking is her domain.
Actually a neat little article. Reading it and writing this post make me miss our recent trip over Thanksgiving.

I wholeheartedly agree. I truly hope DW does not read this, because even in jest, every camping trip, for ever and ever, from now on- will undoubtedly be referenced with this post. Come to think of it, I wouldnt be surprised to see this printed out, matted and framed, residing in the trailer.
I enjoyed that and I'm the DW. I forwarded it to DH. However, I am the one who hitches, unhitches and backs the RV into its spot so my DH gets to be the one looking like the trooper directing traffic! DH just does the driving and most of the outside work...BBQing being one of his duties.

I liked the part about the conflicting female navigation voices. When Sean makes the wrong turn, I try to say "ReCALCulating" in exactly the same annoyed tone as "Jill," our GPS.

Yep we fall into this for the most part too. I drive the truck up the mountain, when we get there I level the TT and lock the tires then unhook and crank down the stablerizers. I then pull out the genny and lower the bottom bunk. DW at this point has taken out her camp chair and cracked open a book.
Once everything is set on the TT I unload the ATV's. I go about building a fire ring and collecting firewood.
As far as cooking DW takes care of that area.
When it is time to leave DW takes care of packing up the inside and I take care of the outside.
We then change places and check over each other's work to make sure we did not forget anything.
This system works great for us.

Yup, it all rings pretty true. She takes care of everything interior & 'domestic'. I do engineering, repairs & destination route management.
Our one major departure from the norm is the driving duty. She does 30-40% of the driving. Even with 'FUGGAWI' stuck on the windshield she is the better navigator using MS S&T, 'WHERETOO', on the laptop espesially getting around major city areas.

Well I'm sure getting the raw end of the steak! I clean inside and outside and do way too many things the "he-man" is supposed to do. I also have to say that if my DH did the grilling we'd be eating burnt hockey pucks instead of hamburgers! lol
