I finally got my rv winterized except for one item. I was told I am supposed to take the little screen off where the city water is hooked up and push something until pink comes out. How do I get that screen off?

You can almost, probably do it with your fingers. Just tug on it a little with your finger and it will eventually come out... Just don't do it so hard that it bends or dents the screen. Try it, you will see how it comes out...

My only problem was getting AF to come back up into the city water line. Some instructions say release pressure from the system. I had to pressurize the system and put a rag over the the outlet to avoid spraying pink stuff all over the place. Once you pull off the screen, there is a button like object that you push to open, so to speak....

That button like object is a one way check valve that you don't want to damage. It keeps your water in the tank and when using your tank water and your pump it keeps the air from entering so you will have water pressure. Hope this helps. JIM

Ok I was able to get the screen off finally; it was actually very easy. I pressed the button but the liquid that came out didn't look pink to me. Any ideas what I need to do?

Try pushing the button open and hold open for a good 30 seconds or so. You should see some a/f start coming out (pink) . If not, then, have someone push the button open while you go inside and open a cold water sink faucet nearest to your button ,then you blow air thru the faucet with your mouth , and the other person should see a/f starting to come out. (or, if you have an air compressor , that could take the place of you using your mouth).

Open a cold water faucet to relieve pressure and LEAVE IT OPEN while pressing the button outside. Hold the button in until pink stuff comes out, then go in and close the cold water faucet. Oh yeah, release the outside button before going back in. >G<

I could be wrong, but believe this will only work if your cold water faucet inside is higher off the ground then the outside hose connection. On my unit the garden hose connection is about level with the kitchen sink top. If you pressurize the system with the 12V electric pump and then very carefully depress the button, it should bleed off the plain water while the pink stuff follows it.

There really isn't any need to do this. You can open any tap in the system in relieve the pressure for storage. Any water remaining will not be enough to do any damage.
