Well, I thought I'd be storing in the barn but alas, the PW is too high to get in there. (Good thing I checked clearance before I tried to roll it all the way in! Yesterday I tried tying a tarp to cover the top of the van against the big snowstorm we didn't get (yet) but the high winds blew that off. So, anyone try the class b covers offered at camping world? If so, reviews? Hard to put on (climb a ladder?) And speaking of ladders, anyone attach a ladder to the back of their b? Do I need to find a customizer to do that?
I used a cover from camping world on my last B+ for five yrs. It was still in decent shape when I traded in. The only reason I didn't get one for my B this time is it has no zippered doors to get inside if you have to. I got my money's worth out of the one for the B+.
As far as putting the cover on a B, my wife and used expandable painters poles, one on each side of the van. Hooked the pole under the cover and pulled/walked it over the top. Also put a tennis ball on the end of the pole so as not to poke thru the cover. Worked great.
We have purchased two class B covers; one from Covercraft (custom - 03 PW Dodge Lexor)@ http://www.rvcovers4u.com/ and one from Calmark (semicustom - 07 Chevy RT210P) @ http://www.calmarkinc.com/. Both sunbrella fabric. Our issue is not so much the weather - but extreme Colorado sun and possible UV damage. I use a ladder to haul folded cover to top rear and then pull forward. Kind of a PITA but works reasonably well.
