Is there a satellite TV guide for RVs somewhere on the Internet?

We have an Itasca class A and are preparing to retire. I would like satellite TV, but we will not be full timers. So I'd like a setup that could be transferred back and forth from my home to my motor home so I need only one subscription. Does anyone do that? I don't think we need to be able to watch TV while moving.

Go to best buy or circuit city... get the Directv installed at your home and then just take the box with you when you travel. You just need a Sat. Dish on your coach.

No need to mention it to directv. They can't tell the difference from when your on the road and when your home. IF you get a tivo or order pay per view movies, it will need to make a call home at least every 30 days. The cheaper boxes are actually better since they never need to call home. Oh, and when I say "call home" I mean, the directv home office.

Cheers.

Tell Direct TV/Dish you want a second hookup in the garage or spare bedroom. It will cost an extra $4.99 a month. Buy a portable dish and 100' of cable. Use the spare box in the motorhome. The only drawback is that your local channel package will follow you where ever you go. Kind of strange watching our local news program when we are 500 miles away from home.
Direct TV has a guide thru the mail. We stopped getting it a long time ago. There onscreen guide works fine for us.

There is no need to "fool" DireTV. Not all of their online reps fully understand "Mobile" accounts, but it is OK to have both a stick house and an RV on one account. (Hint: When talking to them don't use the word "motorhome", use "RV". They understand "RV", "Boat" and "Commercial Truck".)

Like many others, I have one single account and three recievers. DirecTV has provided all the mobile DNS services, once the DNS waiver was complete, for the reciever permantly mounted in the RV. I pay a base fee, and the $4.99 per month for an extra bedroom and the RV.

It is cheaper to have one box and carry it back an forth from a house to the RV, but it is not as convienent. If you do that, consider geting a "Mobile" account so you can have DNS (distant network services ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS). Insist that the intended use is in an "RV". Then, you get the full set of mobile services even if you carry the "RV" box into the house for a while.

No need to get DNS service from Direct TV. I am in New York and get all the network stations anywhere on the east coast. Picked them up all the way down in Key West. You just won't be able to get your locals because they are on a spot beam.

Several,

http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/

http://www.onsat.com/listings.php

And more, I intentionally left the links un-clickable

With ON-sat it's fairly simply, You choose Dish or Direc

With Zap 2 it you have a lot more options.
