It's several degrees below freezing and the coach has been sitting there for a while.
Starts up fine, BUT won't shift into any gear, no matter how many times I push Fwd, Rvs, etc. I can push 1/4 inch into the elastic key pads, but nothing!
Is this because of the cold? (I've put on the furnace and that hopefully will solve it) Has anyone ever experienced this.
Or is a backer plate come loose and no contact is made. (Does it have a backer plate behind the keys??

If you have observed carefully then my suggestion won't apply. Could it be going into gear but the brakes remain locked? I have had this happen a few times even though the air pressure was adequate. Going forward and reverse a few times broke it loose. Keep us informed.
It may be that the transmission fluid has to reach a minimum temperature before it will shift. I remember staying at Crater Lake one evening and the next morning the ranger made us move. I had to let it idle for several minutes before it would shift.
