Thanks so much for a great afternoon. Jerry and I had so much fun. It sure was nice meeting everyone. This was our first time in the Valley and we sure are enjoying it -- and we thank RV.net for all the help provided.

The entertainment was superb. Very talented group.

Thanks to all!

We also want to thank Shirley and all the people who helped put the meeting together. We enjoyed meeting so many of the RV netters and the entertainment made it even more special. This is our first time in the RGV and we hope to see many of you before we head back to AR in March.

Shirley:

You did GOOOOOD!!! What a great afternoon, it was fun. We topped off the great afternoon with a stop at Willies for one of those famous potatos, a new experience for Kbix and us. We have to work that place into our schedule soon.

Well a big thanks Shirley for squeezing us in. We'll try to get our names in earlier so they get in the hat next time.

Props to all those volunteers which without, none of this would happen. We had wonderful time and it was great putting faces on those names.

Thanks for the great afternoon and thanks to all that helped. I posted on Pawatt's thread about the place that has the Mule drawn wagon place. We enjoyed it and the food, going again on the 13th for a anniversary party.

Shirley, just wanted to add a big thank you from Charlotte and I for the great afternoon. It's so nice to put faces with the names. Ron, Pawett and Whippet and all the rest of the volunteers really made it a worthwhile and fun event. Great big pat on the back to everyone / Skip

What a great afternoon it was. Lots of new faces to put with the RV.Net names we are familiar with. Meeting some of the "Lurkers". Introducing friends to the RV.Net Forum for the first time. Seeing the friends we made at the Gathering last year.

This year the Gathering grew to 112 Attendees. Four of these Forum members weren't even signed up they just saw it on the Forum and decided to see if we had room for them. We did have room and welcomed them as we had 16 no shows.

This year we were very lucky to have several Volunteers which helped to make everything run smoothly. They helped with everything from parking, setting up tables, signing people in, helping the people to line up for picture taking, distributing the gifts for the drawings which were generously provide by the Affinity Group, helping the band bring their equipment in and then back out, blowing up balloons and then staying until everything was cleaned up. Thank You all so much!!

Again this year Whippet did an outstanding job as Emcee/Host of this event. Pawatt even had a lot more time at the mike this year. Without these two and their wives I am not sure there would be a Gathering in the RGV.

A very special thank you goes to Dirtman and the Skahl Family from Nashville who provided an hour of incredible entertainment. When Dirtman generously offered to have this group play for us we were not sure what we would be in for and were we every surprised at the talent in this Family!! In fact many of us from the RV.Net Forum are going to go see the Skahl Family for their last Show in the Rio Grande Valley tomorrow night at Texas Trails RV Park in Pharr. They also have a C/D with some great music.

Thank you to the RV.Net Forum Members who attended today. It is always fun to see all of the friendships that are formed as a result of the RV.Net Forum.

Thank you RV.Snowbird and the Affinity Group.

Ron & Shirley, I have been waiting for these pictures and wasn't surprised at the outcome at all. You and your crew have outdone yourself!

I am happy to have had a small part of it on behalf of the Affinity Group and specifically the management of the RV.net Open Roads Forums.

Here's to the next one in 2009!!!
